Ameriquest Capital Corporation has agreed to pay $325 million to settle investigations into its lending practices by the state attorneys general in several states, an official familiar with the term of the agreement said late friday.
$295 million toward restitution consumers and $30 million to cover legal fees and other costs.
Also Del Papa, Ameriquest attorneys said "Ameriquest admitted no wrongdoing and is still selling mortgages in Nevada"
despite agreeing to cough up $ 1.7 million to approximately 5,400 residents.
